Notes on data processing

Data processing when calling our websites:

With each visit of our web pages, data such as the IP address, the URL, the time of the call, the name and version of the browser and the operating system used, the amount of data transferred, the origin of links referring to our website, etc. are processed , In addition, additional information may be requested, such as the type of device used (PC, tablet, ...) or the screen resolution used to adjust the display of the content.

Storage of data in server log files:

Some of the above data (including the IP address) are stored in so-called log files of the server. This serves us to defend and later understand attacks on our system. There is no link between this data and data that we process in the context and for the purposes of other data processing activities. For the exact purposes of this processing of data, the categories of processed data, their legal basis and related rights, please refer to the document linked here.

Data processing of other personal data of registered users:

If you log in as a registered user on our site or have logged in, we process further data, as far as this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract, we have obtained your consent or any other legal reason. We will inform you in detail in case of registration about the exact details of this data processing and the resulting rights.

Encryption:

The communication between your browser and our website can either be encrypted or unencrypted. For encryption, the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol is used.

Please note that encryption will only take place if the URL in your browser's address bar begins with https: //. You can decide for yourself if you want to use encryption in the transmission. For content that does not pose any privacy risks, such as retrieving publicly available information, encryption has no advantage. However, the additional computational effort required by encryption unnecessarily consumes energy and generates greenhouse gases. Also, older browsers do not always support the current encryption methods, so even older hardware can become unusable. Therefore, we will continue to offer our websites without encryption in terms of sustainability. Only where particularly critical data are transmitted, the transmission takes place exclusively by means of TLS.

If you want to use TLS for this site, please use this URL: https://www.andreaspollhammer.com/prokee/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
